Abstract

PROBLEM: the circular economy is a paradigm that seeks economic prosperity while protecting the environment, preventing pollution and conceiving sustainable development, a factor that is indispensable for the world. OBJECTIVE: to elaborate a bibliometric study on circular economy. METHOD: the Bibliometrix package is used for the resolution, it provides a quantitative research algorithm. RESULTS: the study has 482 sources, 5773 authors, 36.6% of international co-authorship, with 3.91 co-authors per scientific production, 148 researches have a single author, 4600 different keywords, 134,971 references, 55.16 citations per document; from the exported database in a temporal space from 2004 to 2022 an annual growth rate of 28.86% is observed. CONCLUSION: the various studies identify the circular economy as the basis for sustainability and as an ideal paradigm for the development of organizations.

Durante su trayectoria, ha gerenciado importantes instituciones de salud en la región centro del Ecuador, entre ellas la Sociedad de Lucha Contra el Cáncer – Núcleo de Tungurahua; además, se ha desempeñado como analista político, económico y social de la provincia de Tungurahua.
