Abstract

OBJECTIVE: to describe the phenomenon that occurs at the psychoneuroendocrinological level of stress and the circuits of people suffering from depression. METHOD: this scientific essay allows the analysis of fundamental information in research, facilitating the understanding of the magnitude of the neurological process that surrounds this disorder. Explaining that depression is caused by a single factor in an individual is unrealistic, as is determining that only one system is involved in said process. RESULTS: the emergence of neuroscience has allowed science researchers to study various aspects that focus on the fundamentals of health sciences from neuroanatomy, neuropathology, epigenetics and various sciences, including the functioning of the nervous, immune system and endocrine, in order to understand the complexity of human behavior and cognitive processes. CONCLUSION: depressive disorder associated with stress, due to the alterations that exist in the hypothalamic axis. Which is the main for physical and environmental changes. Stress is one of the factors that generates increased secretion of corticotropin-releasing hormone
