Militarización del Estado

Abstract

OBJECTIVE: to determine the aspects, characteristics of the militarization of the State. METHOD: by reading and researching various books on the militarization of the State, why they are involved and what effects it develops in the political sphere. RESULTS: over the last fifteen years, we have witnessed an unprecedented multiplication of military regimes, a progressive suppression of "representative democratic" governments, and a massive corporeal irruption of officers on the political scene. Alongside territories often governed by the military, such as the situation in Bolivia and Central America, as opposed to others that had long civic traditions. CONCLUSION: it is feasible that this crisis will only take radical forms in minority and marginal sectors of the military hierarchy. In the near future, most career officers will continue to choose between military semi-populism, partial evacuation from the political scene, or the establishment of a coercive dominant state.
