Problemas en la secularización del Estado (Crisis en la separación iglesia-Estado)

Abstract

OBJECTIVE: to define secularization and secularism, since these terms go hand in hand, they are analyzed in order to establish the problems derived from the secularization of the State. METHOD: by reading and investigating various books, we proceeded to investigate the problem of secularization, defining it together with that of Secularism. RESULTS: politics and religion have been related to each other, and cultural, economic and social capital is at stake in both; however, today democratic societies are under the imaginary idea of ​​the ideal, while day by day the horizon of leadership and political participation by citizens organized in a society is broadened. CONCLUSION: the separation of the State/Church is what is called secularization, and in simple words it is defined as the process of separation of church and state, in which citizens are governed by authorities that are not governed by rules emanating from the church, and that they also watch over the recognition and fulfillment of the rights of their citizens, and that they have the obligation to abide by the norms that have been imposed not only for the inhabitants but also for the rulers themselves.
