Abstract

Executive functions are a series of cognitive capacities that allow organizing, modulating, controlling, evaluating, regulating and planning behavior. Within its construct are organization, attention, working memory, flexibility, inhibition, planning, goal formulation, self-control, anticipation and time management. Neuropsychology studies the neurocognitive processes related to executive functions and its application in neurorehabilitation such as cognitive behavioral therapy in head trauma to face complex situations when there is brain injury. It is necessary to know the relationship of executive functions with head trauma in children, being of strong interest in biological processes, neurodevelopment and associated factors in order to study neurocognition in relation to skills and context in head trauma. The aim of this trial is to identify the neuropsychological battery of executive functions and frontal lobes adapted to head trauma in children for early recovery using a multidisciplinary approach. Neuropsychological evaluation is necessary to identify the impairment of executive functions that cause disability in head trauma in children.
